Here’s a simple tip I learned from playing MGSV for too long and finally realizing it. Make sure when your about to Fulton someone or something a guard is at least 30ft away if it’s less they will hear the Fulton system and go and investigate

MGO3 is still playable June 2024, only people that are really good play now, lots of grenade launchers.

Spoony is basically the reason I understand and can read/write/speak in English. I just couldn't understand everything he was saying back in the days, that bummed me out so much that I decided I needed to learn it just to be able to enjoy his content in its entirety, it took a bit of time, but it was worth every single second of it. It might be over now, we'll probably never have a new video from him, but I'll always be grateful for his work, he gave me countless hours of great content and genuine laughs, and I'll NEVER forget that.

Just came back to the game and this has been useful all those years later. Hell of a grind though, wtf was konami thinking for a primarily singleplayer game. 99% of people aren't going to want to dedicate months to playing but it takes like a week of irl time to build a single FOB platform, not including all the farming and waiting for materials to process in between. People that maxed out all FOBs must be in a crazy minority. Still, great game in spite of this. Wish we got a new game like this in a world the size of Breakpoint or something, 4-player co-op with mates. That would have been incredible.

So, my main takeaways are 1: putting an enemy to sleep, as opposed to stun, will not trigger an alarm when they wake up, 2: short term stuns can be turned into long term stuns by waking them up and 5-hit combo'ing them, 3: the soldier poster on the cardboard box can be used to get enemies to turn around and ignore you, and 4: you can take away all these bullshit factors that ruin strategies by equipping the chicken hat then restarting.

If anyone is here in 2024 you should play all the recordings you get. It's a pain but you will get challenge rewards for it and you don't need to listen to the whole thing. Just click through them all real quick for free stuff

I'm close to 100%ing this game and just learned that the icons on the droid screen indicate enemy preparedness. The tie-in with the dispatch missions is so cool.

Fun fact: Naked Snake knows perfect russian (as Sokolov points out in MGS3), thats ine hint were not playing as Big Boss
